In honor of the 18 medals that were awarded to tennis players over the weekend in Beijing, I offer 18 quick- and final- thoughts on the Games that exceeded expectations. 1) Both the men’s and women’s doubles gold medal teams were comprised entirely of “singles specialists.” Go fi gure.
